Charles J. Read is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), U.S. Tax Court Practitioner (USTCP), Vietnam veteran, and former member of the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC). He’s also the founder of GetPayroll, a full-service payroll and payroll tax company serving businesses nationwide since 1991.

With over 50 years of financial leadership experience across multiple industries, Charles is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and author of four books. His latest, The Payroll Book: A Guide for Small Businesses and Startups, is currently ranked in the top 25 in Amazon’s Small Business Books category.
